IYN (Irma) Nugrahanti

Biography

Irma Nugrahanti is a PhD researcher at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS, The Hague) of Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her research focuses on the link between climate change and gender in Indonesia and the extent to which the government of Indonesia has carried out climate change crisis mitigation and adaptation actions. Combining her years of experience in data analysis, policy advocacy, monitoring and evaluation, and program management with her research project, she aspires to fill the knowledge gap in understanding the intersectional gender approach to ensure the promotion and implementation of equity-responsive policies for climate change crisis responses in Indonesia.

 

Irma Nugrahanti has completed her Master of Science (MSc) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Manchester. Furthermore, she completed various courses and training from international institutions, such as The Hague Academy for Local Governance, Rochester Institute of Technology, and IMD Switzerland. Irma’s experience and interests include resource mobilization, policy advocacy, inclusive governance, gender equality, human rights, public policy, environmental, climate change politics, political economy, social justice, and sustainable project management. She is also a six-time scholarship and fellowship recipient. She has lived and worked in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, and the Netherlands.
