Keynote lecture by Peter v Bergeijk at Globalization in Decline conference

Economic stagnation, ­geopolitical­ conflicts­ and ­environmental­ crises: globalization is under pressure. 

Professor Peter van Bergeijk will give a keynote lecture at this two-day conference exploring the slowing down and regression of globalization. He will focus particularly on developments during the Great Depression and Great Depression 

About the conference

This hybrid conference will assess the driving forces of the crisis of globalization and analyze the diverging trends of de- and re-globalization. It aims to bring together scholars from different disciplinary backgrounds and countries to evaluate the current state and future of globalization.

It will include discussions and panels on:

  • The future of globalization
  • (De)globalization and politics
  • The rise of the far-right
  • The environmental limits to globalization
  • The political economy of (de)globalization
