Update: The road to 100% Open Access

Erasmus University’s policy is that scientific articles are to be published in Open Access. This means that all EUR researchers have to publish in Open Access. The Library supports researchers in various ways with publishing in Open Access.

  • Erasmus Open Access Fund

Earlier this year the University Library set up the Erasmus Open Access Fund, an incentive fund for researchers who want to publish in Golden Open Access. Since its introduction many funding requests have been made and the first expense claims have been honoured and paid out.

An equally large number of requests could be satisfied by referral to information in the Journal Browser. This tool identifies publications of which copyright costs (Article Processing Charges - APCs) for publication in Open Access have already  been paid for by the University, thus reducing claims on the Erasmus Open Access Fund.

  • Workshop Publishing in Open Access
