Professor Nina Glick-Schiller (University of Manchester) was awarded an Honorary Doctorate during the 105th Dies Natalis of Erasmus University Rotterdam on 8 November 2018.
Recommended by the International Institute of Social studies as part of the Erasmus Initiative ‘Vital Cities and Citizens’, Professor Glick-Schiller connects questions of migration, identity, power, citizenship and urban development. Her most recent work investigates migration theories by researching the relationship between the migrant and the city.
Her laudatio was given by ISS Rector, Professor Inge Hutter.
