The Prince Claus Chair (PCC) is proud to present its 2023-2024 Highlights Report, marking two decades of fostering academic excellence and international collaboration in equity and development.
This year, the Prince Claus Chairs celebrates the impactful work of its chairholders:
- Professor Fatima Denton: Exploring power dynamics in climate diplomacy and advocating for justice in green development.
- Professor Sebastián Ureta: Pioneering research on citizen technoscience for environmental action across Latin America.
- Professor Shazly Savahl: Championing child and youth well-being through innovative research and policy advocacy.
Key achievements include:
- 3 chairholders from 3 continents driving change in their respective fields
- 2 inaugural lectures delivered, sparking important discussions on global challenges
- A 20th anniversary celebration attended by over 150 thought leaders, including Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands
- Ongoing projects addressing climate justice, environmental monitoring, and youth empowerment
