This year, the Prince Claus Chairs celebrates the impactful work of its chairholders:

  1. Professor Fatima Denton: Exploring power dynamics in climate diplomacy and advocating for justice in green development.
  2. Professor Sebastián Ureta: Pioneering research on citizen technoscience for environmental action across Latin America.
  3. Professor Shazly Savahl: Championing child and youth well-being through innovative research and policy advocacy.

Key achievements include:

  • 3 chairholders from 3 continents driving change in their respective fields
  • 2 inaugural lectures delivered, sparking important discussions on global challenges
  • A 20th anniversary celebration attended by over 150 thought leaders, including Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands
  • Ongoing projects addressing climate justice, environmental monitoring, and youth empowerment
