ISS alumna Mathilda Sakwa has been named the new acting Director General of Kenya's National Youth Service. She was appointed amid charges of corruption by the previous director, Richard Ndubai.
In various news reports following the news of her appointment, Mathilda Sakwa announced she was going to root out corruption in the organization. Various other NYS officials are being investigated on corruption charges.
Matilda Sakwa graduated from the International Institute of Social Studies in 1990. She followed the MA in Development Studies programme, specializing in the Politics of Alternative Developement Strategies.
