Dr Zemzem Shigute Shuka joins organization fighting tuberculosis

She joins the KNCV Board of Trustees

Dr Zemzem Shigute Shuka, assistant professor at the International Institute of Social Studies, was invited to join the Board of Trustees of this organization that has been fighting turbeculosis worldwide for over 100 years.

Dr Shuka joined the Board on 1 January 2024, bringing with her pertinent experience and insights from the Global South. With expertise in global health and development, Shuka hopes to strengthen the effectiveness on the KNCV Board in its oversight role.

The KNCV was established in 1903 and has been fighting tubercurlosis (TB) since that time. It is a collaborative effort by several private local TB initiatives in the Netherlands.
