Presentation of research results
ISS senior lecturer Rosalba Icaza is carrying out research on the state of diversity at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) as part of her appointment to the UvA Diversity Committee.
Her research looks at the state of diversity in governance mechanisms in UvA dealing with an increasingly diverse student and staff body in terms of gender/race-ethnicity/sexuality/body ableness/class/age-generation.
Parallel to this research, three other projects were conducted which looked into:
- the statistical representations of diversity (Dr. Marieke Slootman, UvA) ;
- the state of epistemic diversity in the curricula and teaching practices (Dr. Rolando Vazquez, UCR Middelburg);
- the feelings/emotions of inclusion/exclusion (Professor Hans Jansen, University of Bistol, UK)
