The new edition of ISS journal DevISSues is now available online
A celebratory issue on the occasion of ISS' 70 anniversary, we ask what is the future of development studies. Three articles on this theme look at how the field of development studies can and must change in order to remain relevant in the coming years and decades:
- From the past to the present: Navigating the future of development studies by Professor John Agbonifo (Osun State University)
- A healthy dose of pessimism as a way forward in migration-development thinking by Dr Nanneke Winters (ISS)
- The more things change, the less they should stay the same: The case for recasting development by Professor Melissa Leach and Dr Peter Taylor (IDS)
The issue also includes a discussion between Dr Sylvia Bergh and recent MA in Development Studies graduate, Shellan Saling on the effects of heatwaves in the EU and a look back at 10 years of the KidsRights Index the author of the latest KidsRights Index report, Professor Karin Arts.
And of course our regular 'Where are they now' catching up with four ISS alumni and photos of student life at ISS.
