Database of the month: Altmetric Explorer

Which newspapers and blogs are writing about your publication? Who shares your research online – are they possible collaboration partners or stakeholders? Which policy documents cite your research? Altmetric Explorer helps you answering these kind of questions.

Altmetrics (alternative metrics) are an alternative for, or complementary to traditional citation impact metrics. Altmetrics especially capture online attentions – how research has been shared, discussed and reused online, for example on Twitter, in scholarly blogs or policy documents, in newspapers. With Altmetric Explorer you can collect and analyse this data in a structured way.
