On 2 October, Constance Dupuis successfully defended her PhD thesis investigating the complex intersection of aging, care, and environmental wellbeing in later life.
During her defence she challenged dominant assumptions and power dynamics in the field of aging studies.
With her thesis she aims to open a dialogue between aging studies, critical gerontology, feminist political ecology and decolonial feminisms. Her work explored the intersection of care for older adults and care for nature, emphasizing the mutually constitutive relationship between wellbeing in later life and environmental wellbeing.
