The PPM specialization is designed to equip students with the essential skills and insights necessary to actively engage in policy analysis, formulation, implementation, and evaluation, particularly within the contexts of developing and transitional nations. Its overarching goal is to cultivate students into thoughtful, effective, and equitable participants in the multifaceted policy landscape.

By delving into the entirety of the policy process, this specialization offers students a robust comprehension of key concepts, theories, and methodological tools essential for navigating the complexities of policy development and decision-making. Through a combination of theoretical foundations and practical applications, students develop competencies, attitudes, and skills crucial for meaningful contribution as policy actors, all while maintaining a critical awareness of the ethical dimensions and value considerations inherent in policy formulation.

The curriculum explores various facets of public sector institutions, organizational dynamics, and reform initiatives, including the principles underlying New Public Management. Additionally, it examines the factors influencing outcomes in the delivery of public services and provides insights into organizational structures, the dynamics of policy implementation within diverse stakeholder environments, and the acquisition of skills and tools necessary for effective action in public processes.
