Social Justice amidst the Convergence of Crises: Repoliticizing Inequalities

The Development Dialogue (DD), now in its 16th year, is an annual conference initiated by International Institute of Social Studies PhD researchers for PhD researchers and young scholars in development studies and related fields.
This year's DD is taking place on 1 and 2 November, around the theme ‘Social Justice amidst the Convergence of Crises: Repoliticizing Inequalities’. Download the concept note below for a full description of conference theme.
Guest speakers
We are pleased to have two women scholars as guest speakers in this year’s event:
- Professor Barbara Harriss-White of the University of Oxford will speak on 1 November, from 9:00 to 10:45
- Professor Dzodzi Tsikata of the Institute of African Studies of the University of Ghana will speak on 2 November, from 11:00 to 13:00.
Presentations and Panel sessions
Of the 200 plus abstract submissions, 50 or so have been selected for presentation in 14 panel sessions.
