On 5 March, Dr Wenty Marina Minza and Dr Roy Huijsmans formally kicked-off their Erasmus+ mobility grant with a masterclass for PhD researchers at Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia.

This first event hosted under the grant was a highly successful hybrid masterclass delivered jointly by Dr Minza and Dr Huijsmans titled ‘Studying Childhood and Youth: Bridging social studies and psychology’.
The project is a collaboration in the field of youth studies between the Faculty of Psychology of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia (UGM), represented by Dr Wenty Marina Minza and Dr Edilburga Wulan Saptandari, and the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) represented by Dr Roy Huijsmans.
The project will realise a series of writing workshops in the Netherlands and Indonesia for UGM-based PhD students.
The envisioned outcome includes peer reviewed publications in international journals. On the basis of their PhD research, the UGM PhD students will in these publications revisit the interface between psychological approaches to studying youth and social studies perspectives.
