The University Library provides renewed trial access to Policy Commons until 30 April. Policy Commons is a one-stop platform for research from the world’s leading policy experts, nonpartisan think tanks, IGOs and NGOs. Since our last trial, new features were added to Policy Commons.
While policy touches every aspect of our lives, most policy publications are published as ‘grey literature’ and can be hard to find. Policy Commons harvests reports, blogposts, working papers, articles, datasets, and more from thousands of policy organizations from around the world. It gathers these publications on an easy-to-use platform. This includes publications from more than 350 defunct think tanks, and exclusive historical content dating as far back as 1920. For example, while Putin’s essay on the historical unity between Ukrainians and Russians is no longer accessible via the Kremlin website, you can still find the text in Policy Commons.
Besides exploring the largest collection of policy content ever gathered into one place, you can also use Policy Commons to check the Organization Directory of 16,600 policy organizations. The latest feature of this platform is the list option: you can make lists of publications or organizations, in a private list or share it with others.
Please inform us if you think the Library should provide access to the Policy Commons beyond April 2022.
