Rosalba Icaza was successful in the 2018 internal UHD promotion round.
In addition to teaching at ISS, her research interests are:
- Decolonial thinking and 'the international'
- Thinking the academia in the promotion of autonomy
- Learning as liberation/liberation of learning
- Plural feminisms for plural liberations
She explains her research agenda as one that seeks to understand how place-based social resistances contribute to global epistemic justice. As a result, she is not circumscribed to a particular discipline anymore and her latest publications have had a variety of target audiences.
